RI Jadi Pasar Laptop Terbesar di Asia Tenggara

Indonesia tercatat sebagai negara yang memiliki pangsa pasar Notebook PC (laptop) yang berkembang sangat pesat di Asia Tenggara. Bahkan data triwulan II-2010 dari International Data Corporation (IDC) menunjukkan pasar Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan lebih dari 40%.
Menurut perkiraan dengan pertumbuhan yang tinggi ini dalam lima tahun kedepan Indonesia akan menjadi pasar notebook atau laptop terbesar di Asia Tenggara.
“Kwartal ini dari Oktober hingga Desember, pasar notebook Indonesia diperkirakan sekitar 1,4 juta unit. Tahun depan, IDC memperkirakan adanya kenaikan hingga sekitar 6 juta unit,” kata Asisten General Manager Toshiba Company System Singapura Masanabu Honda melalui siaran persnya, Minggu (24/10/2010).
Melihat proyeksi tersebut, Masanabu mengatakan bahwa Toshiba memutuskan untuk menambah distributor resminya di Indonesia dan menunjuk PT. Tixpro Informatika Megah (TIM) sebagai distributor resmi untuk menjual semua lini produk-produk notebook PC Toshiba, aksesoris dan layanan purna jual. Selain bersama TIM, Toshiba juga masih melanjutkan kerjasamanya dengan distributor resmi yang sudah ada yaitu PT Techking Enterprise.
“Kami ingin konsumen dapat membeli notebook Toshiba dengan mudah dimana saja di seluruh Indonesia. Karena Indonesia adalah negeri yang sangat luas, maka kami membutuhkan partner yang memiliki jaringan yang kuat di daerah, khususnya kota regional seperti Medan, Makasar dan Surabaya,” ujar Masanabu.
Sementara itu Dirut PT Tixpro Informatika Megah (TIM) Sukaman Tokarso mengatakan bahwa Indonesia adalah pasar yang sangat penting bagi para produsen notebook. Menurutnya Tixpro memiliki jaringan yang sangat luas bahkan sampai di pelosok-pelosok daerah, Sukaman yakin notebook Toshiba akan mampu bersaing dengan merek lainnya.
“Kerjasama ini membuktikan keseriusan Toshiba untuk menguasai pasar Indonesia. Dengan nama besar Toshiba dan pengalaman yang sudah teruji, kami optimis Toshiba mampu mengusai pasar PC notebook di Indonesia,” tegasnya.
Selain gerai penjualan, Toshiba bersama kedua distributor resminya ini juga berkomitmen untuk membangun jaringan service center di seluruh Indonesia.
Sebelumnya, Kementerian Perdagangan (kemendag) mencatat terjadinya lonjakan impor produk konsumsi hingga 61,14% selama semester I-2010. Total impor produk konsumsi pada periode itu mencapai US$ 4,652 miliar.
Kontribusi impor produk konsumsi tertinggi ditopang oleh produk elektronika yang mencapai US$ 2,167 miliar atau naik 65,9%. Dimana produk HP mencapai US$ 1,1 miliar, produk laptop US$ 431,5 juta, AC mencapai US$ 143,8 juta.
“Untuk elektronika, lebih pada laptop dan HP, ini karena peningkatan konsumsi (di dalam negeri),” kata Menteri Perdagangan Mari Elka Pangestu beberapa waktu lalu.
Selain itu produk konsumsi lainnya seperti makanan minuman mencapai US$ 191,9 juta atau naik 36,78%, impor pakaian jadi mencapai US$ 105,2 juta atau naik 39,06%, impor mainan anak-anak (klereng blok, tali lompatan, dll) mencapai US$ 33,1 juta atau naik 31,62%, dan alas kaki US$ 58,8 juta naik 62,18%.
Sudah menjadi rahasia umum perkembangan harga produk elektronika dan HP saat ini sudah semakin murah dan terjangkau masyarakat terutama produk asal China. Apalagi produk-produk netbook yang saat ini makin digemari banyak kalangan.
